GET INVOLVED
Volunteers are GREATLY appreciated within Families First, and there are many wonderful ways to help! Serving on the board will allow the development of events and fundraisers. Committee membership for each of the events is always appreciated as well- there is always much to do to prepare for our major fundraisers throughout the year. Share your talents with the community!
Meetings are held the fourth Thursday each month in Wind Gap Middle School (or via Zoom).
VOLUNTEERING
High school students in the Pen Argyl Area School District are encouraged to join the Families First board. Volunteers for Stuff the Bus, the Holiday Craft Show and Bazaar, minigolf tournment, Holiday Giving, and other events are greatly appreciated and a great way to help the community while also getting volunteer hours!
STUDENTS
Mentors are a wonderful way for volunteers to connect with our students in one of our many mentoring programs. Adult volunteers can lead sessions with middle school students in Across Ages or with high school students discussing career and college readiness in Roundtable. Teachers can volunteer with our after school tutoring and homework assistance program, aimed to help bridge learning deficits with middle school students.
